I have gone to Prego’s since I was a child and it will always be one of my favorite Burlington restaurants. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is top tier, and the staff are kind and welcoming. Last night we ordered take out from Prego’s and when we got home, we discovered one of our dishes had been left out of the bag. When we called the restaurant to let them know, the owner of the restaurant hopped in his car and drove the missing dish to my home, in the middle of a Saturday night at the restaurant! Customer service doesn’t get better than that. We are so lucky to have this special restaurant in our community.
I was there yesterday with 'Mama'. The atmosphere was very reminiscent of fine Italian restaurants I have been to in New York. The staff was very welcoming and delightful to interact with. The food was delicious and the cannoli was the best I had since Grandma's. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
The food and service here is top notch. It's very authentic, the pasta is hand made the Alfredo sauce is the best I've ever had in my life. Trust me go here and eat anything.
The food was ok. It's not the best Italian food. It's beautiful inside. The prices are reasonable and fair. I wanted the fettuccine but to add shrimp its an additional $9. Its only noodles. Any kind of meat is extra. I had the lasagna. The calamari was ok. The food did come out hot and fast. It was saucy but it lacked flavor. My son didn't care for all the sauce. The sauce had a bitter taste to it. The bread was good. The ceasar salad was dry. I had to ask for extra dressing. The drink was good! The service was fast but needs work. When we arrived for our 7pm reservation, we still had to wait for seating and we were early. The server didn't know the menu and seemed nervous. Maybe she was new. I had to ask for my salad after ordering it. I give it a 6. I'm not sure I'd try it again. It's about 25 minutes from me. I don't want to travel unless I know I'm going to enjoy it.
I had the pleasure of celebrating my daughter & her friends’ 5th grade graduation at this lovely establishment. The food was wonderful, the service was impeccable. Alex was amazing! Will definitely be back again. Thank you, so much!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Pregos Trattoria! From the moment we arrived, Christian, our waiter, truly went above and beyond—his attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and deep knowledge of the menu made the entire meal exceptional. He suggesting perfect dishes based on my preferences, and his genuine passion for Italian cuisine shined through. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—every bite was a delight. Thanks to Christian’s outstanding service, I’ll definitely be returning soon! If you're looking for authentic Italian food with top-tier service, I highly recommend Pregos Trattoria—you won’t be disappointed!
This place is amazing! My husband and I went because I wanted to try risotto for the first time. Our dining experience was spectacular. From the atmosphere to the food, everything was perfect. I’m a picky eater and everything that was brought to the table was delicious! We got the mushroom risotto and the carbonara. Also, they bring polenta to the table with the bread, and while this southern girl loves grits, polenta is to die for!
THIS is the THEE best italian spot in NC i’ve ever tried. This is beating out charlotte, raleigh—honestly such a hidden gem in a place like alamance?! Firstly i’m a huge foodie so i’m quick to check if the ambiance and friendly staff are to make up for a lack in quality food, but this place?? BLEW me out of the water. We ordered the calamari to start and it was to DIE for. All of our food came out SOOO quick. Perfectly crispy, lightly breaded and TENDER squid paired so incredibly well with a marinara sauce you could tell was homemade and fresh. They also brought out this little complimentary fried polenta bites that were reminiscent of a well done fried potato bite. They also brought out a simple bread and olive oil (which was ALSO flavorful which is rare in places i’ve been to) We also order drinks, in which i’m skeptical bc the menu is saying smirnoff and at this point in my life i want some quality vodka, but they tell me they have top shelf and for a small up charge (like $2) i can have tito’s, so i order a pomegranate martini and it’s to DIE for. it was only like $9?!?!? i would’ve easily paid $18 for something that quality at a perry’s steakhouse or something. They used this special pom vodka that had my taste buds dancing. My partner had the sangria and that was also delicious. the bartender knows what’s she doing, that’s all imma say. So let’s get to the MAIN courses: We opt for the Chicken parm (basic ik but if they do the basics well? certifiable restaurant) and then i got the shrimp diavolo (not sure if i spelled this right) and the waitress let me know we could choose any pasta we liked, and they home make their fettuccine and their gnocchi, so we both got the freshly made fettuccini as our pasta of choice and OMGGGGG. all i can say is the chefs back there know what they’re doing. It was DELICIOUS and the serving size was HUGE?!?! it was so well priced for the portion, flavor, and work they put into the dish. We got a side caesar and it was incredible. the croutons had a caramelized onion essence i’ve never experience in a caesar, which was such a nice surprise. Finally, i wanted to say the owner checked in on us multiple times and informed us he and his father trained in New York with real Italian chefs which absolutely reflects in the food. our server stephanie was incredible as well and so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Just overall a 10/10 experience from food to service to ambiance. We stumbled upon this place traveling inbetween raleigh and greensboro and i’m telling you, i would drive 45 minutes just to experience this again. Thank you for sharing your food with us and allowing us the privilege of experiencing your restaurant. Best, Nancy G.
